Sarah Boyd is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of English and Comparative Literature at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill specializing in nineteenth-century American literature, Art, and Science. Her dissertation explores the "weird" literature fueled by the American Renaissance and reproduced in the deeply romantic "realism" of the Atlantic Monthly.
